Hello everyone,
In this blog post, I am going to share a few tips and tricks that you can follow during summers to stay fresh all the time.
I made a separate post about sunscreens recently, which you can check it out here. Choose the right sunscreen for your skin type. There are some sunscreens which make your skin greasy and sweat a lot, so invest your time finding the best sunscreen for your skin type and you will see a difference!
TIP #2 : FOLLOW A SKIN CARE ROUTINE
Always follow a regular skin care routine in the morning and night. You need not have fancy, luxurious items to pamper yourself. Few drops of coconut oil as a cleanser, followed by a face wash and finally finishing up with aloevera gel will work wonders , if you start following this routine religiously. Once you see a difference, you will never avoid washing your face at night, however tired you are.
TIP #3 : PREVENT OILY SCALP
If you suffer from oily scalp, all you have to do is to rub baby powder on your scalp and your hair will never be greasy. It looks as if you just had a hair wash.
TIP #4 : PREVENT SUNBURNS AND TANNING
If you suffer from sunburns and tanning, store aloevera gel or pure rose water in ice cube trays and freeze them. Use them to rub it on your face after returning from a hot sunny day. This will cool down your face and will treat sunburns.
TIP #5 : USE ROSE WATER SPRAY
You could store fresh or store brought rose water in the fridge and spritz it on your face to feel fresh during summers and you could carry it with you in your handbag and use it when required.
TIP #6 : AVOID SMELLY SHOES
During summers, you tend to sweat a lot and this results in smelly shoes because of the sweat from your feet. You could spread some baby powder in your shoe at night and you will have fresh smelling shoes in the morning, Alternatively, you could use tea bags, fresh or used, place them inside your shoe and this helps in absorbing bad odor from your feet.
TIP #7 : REMEDY FOR OILY FACE
If you have oily face, always carry blotting sheets or tissues with you to absorb excess oil from your face. You could also use a loose powder to set your face and prevent it from getting oily. You could also use aloevera gel on your T-Zone to control excess oil secretion.
TIP #8 : USE FACE PACKS/MASKS
Use a anti-tanning face pack once a week or at least twice a week to remove tan and to remove impurities from your skin.
TIP #9 : USE MAKEUP FIXING SPRAY
If you have to attend a party during summers, use a makeup fixing spray to set your makeup in place. This will help you to a great extent and prevent makeup meltdown. You could also do a DIY makeup fixing spray (a separate blog post coming soon).
TIP #10 : ALWAYS EAT HEALTHY
Finally, eat fresh fruits and vegetables during summers. Avoid eating oily and fried food, and limit the intake of excess caffeine. Keep yourself hydrated. Because what you eat reflects on your skin and hair.
These are some of the skin care tips, with which you can take care of yourself during the harsh summers. Hope you found this post helpful.
