Hello Everyone,
Before I could start with this blog post, I would like to tell you that I am not an expert in lifestyle topics like these. I draft what is in my mind, what I do, and what works best for me. I believe that I will be able to connect with people who read my blog through these topics and get to know more about me.
I am a person who thinks that everyday should be productive and I used to think that I should feel proud about myself at the end of the day. But sadly, I don't do it and I keep giving reasons for not being productive. Then, I somehow found a way to have a routine for myself, which I can follow everyday. But again I was not able to continue that routine for a long time because I felt that I was forcing myself into something which I am not used to.
When I started to analyse my day, I started to think that I can do certain things differently so that I can be active throughout the day. So I came up with a few lifestyle changes which I started to follow, which made a HUGE difference in my productivity as well. I have put down some points that I follow, which in turn makes me happy and productive.
1. Be Thankful
I started incorporating the habit of thanking God in the morning and night, for giving me another day in my life and for making this day beautiful. I know many people do this, but doing this everyday made me realize how precious my life is.
2. Stay fresh
As soon as I wake up, I make sure to wash my face with cold water so that I don't feel sleepy anymore. I also drink a glass of water which makes me feel fresh and gets me out of my sleepy mood.
3. Make a List
Then, I start my day with a hot cup of tea, and during this time I plan my day and list my to-do's and tasks for the day. Recently, I have included a not-to-do list as well which helps me stay focused on my tasks. I have found that writing your tasks and to-do list on a planner works wonders and helps you stay motivated.
4. Reward yourself
I also reward myself at the end of the day for staying productive. It can be a movie, a little nap, a pizza or anything which I like. By rewarding myself, I found that I started working towards my tasks vigorously so that I will be able to enjoy my own rewards.
5. Take Breaks
I always take small breaks in between my work to have a snack or check my mobile or watch a video. Working for longs hours stresses you out and make you feel tired quickly.
6. Talk to someone.
At the end of my day, I make sure to talk to someone and share more about my day and get to know about their's because it relaxes my mind and soul.
7. No Mobile Zone
I am a full-time blogger and when I start drafting a blog post, I usually have too many points in my mind to convey ( of course I write them down ) to my readers. When I use my mobile phone, I loose track of my topic and ideas and I don't get the blog post done. So I stay away from my mobile when I am drafting and I use it only during my breaks.
8. Be grateful
I always try to list down the things that I am grateful for, at the end of the day. I feel grateful that I was able to finish my tasks at the end of each day.
Also, let me know what you would do to make your day productive. I hope you liked this blog post.
